Solo Exhibition
Emily Eve Weinstein:
The 25-Year Handmade Book Project

The ArtsCenter in Carrboro
March 13 - April 30, 2026

The ArtsCenter in Carrboro presented a solo exhibition of 17 hand-bound volumes that document the artist’s creative output year by year, each paired with autobiographical essays. Begun in 2009, the durational project traces a life in art through painting, writing and experimental bookmaking. Many of the oil paintings featured in the books were also on view.

“While reviewing last year‘s artwork it occurred to me that I needed a change within my artistic journey: a turn toward abstraction. These are some of the results from my adventures. A little scary, a lot fun!” — Emily Eve Weinstein, in May e-news
